Internets: Serious Business

Here it is, the inaugural episode of PODCAST. In this show, I talk with Nick Douglas, best known as the former editor of Valleywag, about his upcoming book Twitter Wit: Brilliance in 140 Characters or Less. We also discuss several other internet related topics including books deals, 4chan, and internet memes.

This is excellent and enjoyable. Congrats to Ben. That Valleywag guy is also okay.

For reasons I’ll never understand, this thing right here has been seen by more eyeballs than anything else I’ve ever produced. (At least I think so.)

  1. The “less time spent : more popular” axiom holds true.

  2. I don’t care about not getting “credit” — whatever that means — but I am curious if stuff with watermarks or a url is somehow handicapped on the road to it going viral.

  3. I’ve just used up my “going viral” quota for the day. I must be punished if I say this awful phrase again in the next 24 hours.

Massive Attack — Angel

You are my angel
Come from way above
To bring me love

Her eyes
She’s on the dark side
Neutralize
Every man in sight

“Sub Kit,” you say? “Layered for Easy Prep,” you say? Think about it, people. Never again will you have to manually layer the ham and turkey for your sub.

The Sandwich singularity is upon us.

‘THE THIN BLUE LINE’ IS THE GREATEST DOCUMENTARY EVER MADE.

I believe this. Here is a screengrab to show how serious I am.
