The thing about Joe Biden is, for me anyway, he made those early debates fun to watch. Most of the time he seemed like the only one up there who wasn’t going to bullshit anybody, and it was refreshing.
Also, the “find out first via SMS” thing was brilliant. Some people are pissed that the media played spoiler to breaking news before they heard about it themselves — similar to a now infamous Twitter post which ruined the Olympics.
TiVo Syndrome, I’ll call it: The irrational belief that you have ultimate control over how you find out about anything of your choosing. Yes, you do have the right to see how Batman beats the Joker at a time and place of your choosing. No, you don’t have that right when it comes to stuff that happens in the real world.
On the other hand, the Obama campaign found an ingenious way to add even more contacts to their internal list of potential supporters.
